Where to get bumper covers [Merged 2-7] bumpers

I had bought one along time back for my 95 talon the origianl got trashed in a wreck so i bought one off it for like $100 shipped and it worked great and was good quality alot better then the pos body kit i bought off ebay which was about as thick as plaster paper.

Funny how I saw this thread, I JUST got back inside from putting on my 2gb bumper from ebay on my 95 GSX, and I had the bumper painted before, and everything looks great! Exact oem fitment. I also have the rear bumper to put on, and I already have the turbo spoiler on, im starting to look like 2gb now.

that is overpriced if you have a company called certifit in your area. go to certifit.com I think that is right, and look up if you have one. It is the same bumper but for $49.75 and fits great. The one we put on was a tiny bit warped between the headlights, but a heat gun fixed that easy

Yep, they bolt right up. Did mine a few days ago and everything fit perfect.

I got my front and rear bumper from the same guy on ebay, the front one was a replica bumper, not one that was originally on another eclipse, but it fit PERFECT. The rear bumper was an oem original bumper sanded and primerd, of course that was also a perfect fit since it came off another eclipse. Also you can e-mail him and he has other stuff not listed on any of his auctions, thats how I found the rear bumper.

whatever you do don't buy this from pershing auto body parts, buy it from another ebay vendor

I waited over a month with pershing, never got anything, cancelled and got into a huge fiasco. Ordered it elsewhere and got it within a week.

I've browsed classifieds... on several DSM sites. Searched ebay and it seems like it's getting harder and harder to find a TALON front bumper cover. I don't want an eclipse or laser front... I want my 1gb talon front and can't find one anywhere. Tried searching Machv and sites that say they have what you need to restore your dsm... also to no avail. Anyone help? If not, I guess it's time to hit some local junkyards with high hopes.

There is yard here that has a few nice ones but they stopped making them so looking at dealerships is only chance, or a paint/ repair shop. www.rockauto.com has other stuff but no bumper covers.

Does anyone know where I can buy 90-91 OEM turbo bumper cover? These are getting hard to find and was just wondering if anyone knew of a vendor/site where I could get one. I have searched all over the net and no one has the turbo bumper, only the non turbo one.

Dealership could probably get you one. Did you try mitsubishiparts.com? I know I've gotten door skins not too long ago from my father's friend, who works at a bodyshop.

I am about to pick one up from Certi-fit for my 91. Cost was $53 and change. Not to bad, may want to check them out but I dont know if they could ship it or even if its worth it. Now that I looked at their site, seems the nearest one to you is about 8 hours away. Couldn't hurt to check on shipping though.

I am currently swapping everything from my wrecked turbo car to a n/t car (both 90s). What is the difference between the two? Is it where the intercooler is? Is there anyway to make the n/t bumper cover work on a turbo car? Dosent suprise me, more parts I have to buy.

I dont think there are any cleanance issues but there is not an opening in the front of the bumper of a N/T to allow air flow to the intercooler. I could be wrong about the clearances though.

I believe they will bolt up to each other, but don't quote me on that cause I don't want the little red dot patrol to chastise me. The first one is easy to find, even in junkyards, and aftermarket but it really doesn't tickle my pickle. For that I'll just slap a rizq bumper on my talon(flame suit on) . I don't wanna pay like 300 bucks from satan to get the bumper,then pay anothr 150-200 bucks to get it painted. All the junkyards I went to don't have any and if they do, they look like they fought with rambo and lost. Mr. boosted 91 tsi, what is this certi-fit you speak of ?

you could always try a junkyard or in the classifides section where someone is parting out a car. i find an amazing one in a junkyard, its like christmas when you go there
