Where to get bumper covers [Merged 2-7] bumpers

www.certifit.com . I have a warehouse within 20 miutes of me but I do not know if it would be worth it to have one shipped from a location closer to you. I have piccked up a fender and a hood and lights for my car and after it was put together it looked factory. I am headed out for a bumper cover this week. All parts are newly made and usually come with black primer already on them.

In their catalog they only show the non-turbo bumper, part # MTEC23A0 . That is the same problem I've been having with any other place I went to. Make sure your getting the right bumper bro. Oh well back to searching for me. If anybody else knows anything, please chime in.

I went home last night and took out my IC and air dam from the turbo car. They will fit right on my n/t car. It even had the openings in the bumper cover. Maybe the guy before me replaced it.

Try Maddsm and talk to John. Hes got tons of bumpers and such and he is a really cool guy to talk to. I've found lots of stock parts for my 2g from him and he always gave me a good deal.

Hi all. Well, thanks to the previous owner of my car, my front bumper is in pretty bad shape. It's got one 2" split on the bottom passenger side, and a hefty repair spot on the other (at least it was painted well... but anyway)

I've just looked into the oh-so-popular topic of doing a 97-99 conversion from a 95-96 Eclipse. After thinking about it for a while, I figured I'd be one of the seemingly few people who don't do it when they can.

But that leads me to my question... What manufacturer makes a good bumper? When searching around for the 97+ conversion, a few people said good things about the pershing bumpers on ebay. They are really cheap too, for the 95-96, at about $50 for one not painted. Are they good though? Any other suggestions for good bumpers?

Also, anyone know if the air-hole for the intercooler (and on the other side) is normal on this one? They look small, but it's probably just the angle of the picture right?

Many people have success buying off ebay. Some are not so fortunate. Check there feedback. I would try my local junkyard or forums. But those holes do look alittle small perhaps its because its black and insuffient light.

i just got my 2G (97-99) bumper from ebaly 2 days ago, fits great looks great, needs some minor work prob from shipping.

if i were u i would def. do the swap, just need the head lights, which i also got from ebay for like $140 (projector) and 2 bumper (150)

but if u go with the 95-96 front end cut out the grille in the front air dam opening, open it up a bit.

check with a body shop. i checked with keystone auto which is a distributor for bodyshops and our price was 210 not sure what kind of discount we get but its definately cheaper.

well, i checked with a body shop and it was like $100 cheaper but i had to have the work done there so it wouldve cost me more. ill check out some more body shops and see if i cant find cheaper. its just nuts you can find a 2gb eclipse bumper or any 2ga bumper for under $100 but once you ask for a 2gb talon bumper they say "yes will that be your arm or your leg you will be paying with?"

I work for a bodyshop and the easiest place to look for front or rear bumpers is at a bumper reconditioner. The places that we go through always have bumpers for pretty much any car you can think of. I do not like the bumpers from Keystone or ebay because they are not the OEM plastic but rather a firmer ABS plastic that when you paint it, there are a lot of defects in it.

The reconditioned bumpers are OEM bumpers that have been worked, fixed, and primed ready for paint plus they are always at a good price. Ask your local bodyshop where they get their reconditioned bumpers from.

Same here, I am still looking for a reconditioned/new Talon bumper... Mine is cracked, and held up with zip ties, but you cant even tell though, unless you look for it... They are still 300+ at the dealer, so.... yeah, I'll have to pass on this one....
