I bought a palm for datalogging and someone (girlfriend) smashed the end in the door. I cannot find to save my life. Its a 7 pin on one end and plugs into the palm on the other side. I have looked on eBay and google can't nothing even close... where are my options?

Okay just to confirm.
are you talking about An obd 1 to palm pilot adapter?
also what is your palm pilot model number?

you might be able to fix the cable that got smashed, you'll need to get an adapter off e bay/amazon etc. that looks like the end that got smashed, and splice and solder the end on... Unless of course, there was a mini circuit board in the end that got destroyed in it by the car door.

in which case just get a new cable, or buy a good used mini laptop and use it to log.

I like laptops cause they come in handy if or when you decide to get ecmlink.

Go to radio shack and buy the the correct 9 pin connecter and replace it. Just cut the damaged one off and use a multi meter to match the old pin out to the new end.
