i know that people chose the m100 but i have a friend that has a m500 and i can get it for a good price and i want to know if this one is a good one???

It will work with the palm logger software that's out there with the right connection if that's what you are asking.

I used to run a plam m100 and have since upgraded to the palm m130 because it has a color screen. I prefer the color screen cause its a lot easier to read on the fly and especially at night. The m500 is not listed as having a color screen. The m500 is more than acceptable for datalogging its all personal preference whether you like the black or color screen.

I pikked my m130 off eBay for less than $15 shipped. It works great for logging. Color is the only way to go

Not sure about others but the m500 got a patch so that the screen can light up at night

The m100 lights up at night too buts it green and not very easy to read. Not sure about the color that the m500 lights up but imo you can't go wrong with the color screen.
