Looking from the inlet of the TB, its on the lower left side. Its got a big 6 pin connector on the back of it. I have an extra one if you need one. Ours are considered ISC as well Idle Speed Controller.

TB stands for Throttle Body, right at the inlet of your intake manifold. If you look at it (Where vacuum lines attach on the top) You want to look right under that part, and you will see the big connector undefined was talking about
You bought the good kind, at least in theory. The blackies are better than the brown/tan ones. Although that is OEM, not sure if you got oem or what. There SHOULD be a 6 prong inlet on your ISC no matter which kind you have, like so:nevermind, im an idiot, throttle body haha.
What im looking at, atleast what i think it is, looks totally different from what i have, its right below the throttle body and its the same shape but doesnt have a 6 pron clip plug its just wires going directly into it.

if the 6 prong plug is on the other end of the IAC, and the new one i bought has the 6 prong on the IAC itself, how does that work

I'm not sure what ISC doesn't have the prong, havent seen that, this means that its likely PO hacked the plug which is pretty lame. There are some adds on the classifieds where people have chopped up wiring harnesses to sell the plugs individually, can get one through there or get a wiring diagram and wire up direct.
Your ISC is for a 1990 TB, I don't think it's compatible with any other TB other than a 90. Same thing the other way around, not sure if the 91-99 ISC (such as the ones in the picture above) mechanically fits a 90 TB. If so the connector is the least of your problems. I have a bunch of both at home so i can check if for you later.
The two posted above (tan and black) are '91-'99 ISC's.
The metal one you linked to with the pigtail off of it is a '90 ISC.
'90 throttle body. You can see the ISC on the bottom right in front of the 2 nipples that stick out the side. The plug for it is on the left side of the throttle body.
