When you guys change brakes do you turn the rotors?

When you change your pads ladies , do you guys shave the rotor down everytime ?

Okay, keep this under your hat: out of my 30+ cars, I've _never_ turned a rotor. Including on cars that had run the pads down to metal, and gouged the surface of the brake. It didn't pull, it didn't eat up the pad, it didn't brake unevenly, it didn't lock up in the rain. I was amazed. It was one of my many 510s, and it just worked like nothing was wrong.

I've also not warped a rotor. I have no cover story nor explanation why. I'm not especially easy on cars, but I don't have much trouble with them.

They're your brakes, I'm just telling what I've done. I can't say I recommend it.

thanks for advise. I didnt understand having to do it either. I am never hard on brakes like most people so i really couldnt seem my warpin the rotors but when i change the pad ill just eye it up. thanks for all replys
