When to upgrade 1g BOV?

Im running a crushed 1g bov right now on a small 16g on about 22psi. This BOV works fine for this setup but I plan on upgrading to a TD06 20g and running about 25psi at the track. Will the 1g bov be able vent this much air or does it just not flow enough?

Look up "dodgegarage mod". It can hold over 30 psi all day long, with out being crushed. I suggest that you actually get a 'virgin' uncrushed valve and do this mod.

buddy of mine has that mod done. He was explaining how it was done, and it involves some sort of drilling of the sort. but it was nasty afterward

Upgrade when the bov is leaking under boost. Do a boost leak test and that should tell you

I had a 1g crushed bov i ran on about 25 psi and it started to leak. A buddy of mine has a 1g bov with this mod and he is running around 30 psi with no problems. I just got me a virgin uncrushed and im about to do the same.

The bov was crushed when I bought it. Anyways I got bored today and decided to uncrush it. Took the top off of it and started to beat the dent out of the lid. Haven't finished yet but its working great so far. I plan on modding the BOV also before I put it back in the car.
