i just installed some forced performance cams (FPcam2's) and since i have, i can't keep my trims down. they may be at 130 or so, so i richen it up. so it climbs to 139. what the heck? i don't have knock and if i richen it up then it starts sputtering like i'm too rich. runs great if i lean it out.

is it safe to just be ignoring the fuel trims and just look at my timing and knock? what would ya'll suggest cause i can't seem to get them down. i'm stumped  even tried resetting the ecu to get the trims to start off at 100% again, still doing the same thing. hmmm....

did you figure out the problem? I am having a similar issue after a 56 trim install. My car sputters at high rpm...seems like rich sputter but not sure. What is your duty cycle when your car starts to sputter? I am running 750's and they are nearly maxed out by 18lbs leading me to beleive it is rich sputter?? Thanks

i reset the ecu and started off with my mfat settings at 450's. drove it around a bit (of courseit would sputter) till the trims started to finally move and then gradually leaned it out. sputter finally started going away and trims seemed to come back down again.
