Hey everyone i was trying to figure out what is the best front mount intercooler to get? My GST spyder is 100% stock but i was looking at doing hks 3in cat back exhaust and hks downpipe also injen cold air intake and nkg sparks and wires... I was going to put a front mount intercooler so i can have that engine really cool i was told about the Buschur front mount one is that good or ? ### help thank u

o ya also i was going to do a 255 fuel pump...

1. Gen Maintnance Clutch goes with this, slave master, timing, gaskets, ect..
2. Dsmlink v3,Wideband, and boost gauge
3. Exaust
4. Bigger Turbo
5. Fuel compensate for the type of fuel your using.
6. Fmic
THEN TURN THE BOOST UP AND TUNE.
7. Suspension
8. Safety
9. Fun
10.Fast
11.Dyno and Track upgrade for more power

IN THAT ORDER!!!

A FMIC will not help you at all on the tiny turbo, when you start pushing 16+ on a evo 16g than a FMIC would be needed, dont think you can just bolt up shit like those ricer Honda guys do, doing it right is what makes a car fast, not doing it wrong. Read up vfaq untill your eyes bleed, learn as much as you can and dont turn boost up untill you know what you need to do it safley.

Your the ones that make us look bad. We ARE ALL enthusiasts.

Op, Please ditch the t25 and buy a bigger turbo and follow the plan that i have laid out for you. Dsmlink and a wideband can do wonders on a stock car. If you have all the money at one time, buy it all at once and install it. I think personally thats easier then piecing it together.

Hold on to your money, read, read and read some more, then do maintance, THEN follow the upgrade path! You will be much happier (and faster) if you do.

Ahhh more reading for you.
To go fast isn't cheap and REQUIRES a lot of reading and learning.
To LOOK cool since that was your first question. Fogs, I would say punishment... no fogs I would say vrsf.

Few things to remember. First thing is this:

Power - Reliability - Cheap <-- You can only choose two; that's very basic knowledge in the tuning world.

Next piece of wisdom is: you can never start tuning/logging too early, so spend your time, money and effort on this first, unless you don't really care about your car.

Next is; like said before... Pipping is pipping, yes they may sound differently, weight differently, but there's no big secrets in exhausts, intakes and intercooler pipping... With that said, you don't need the HKS or Greddy generic stuff, most other cheaper brands will do just fine. It's far better to concentrate on parts that can actually break/break stuff (turbo's being one of the most obvious).

Anyways, you have $3,000.00? Good, start with maintenance, then go through the upgrade path - you can play with it a little bit if you want (for example, I started tuning before pretty much anything), then when you have enough knowledge and funds to be innovative you can go ahead.

Good luck!

I don't think the O.P. understands the function of an intercooler....it doesn't cool the engine any better under normal driving, nor will a giant front mount do anything to aid in the performance of a T25.

In fact, there's a pretty good chance that a large intercooler is going to make the engine heat up worse by blocking air flow to the radiator, and may also cause a loss in performance on a turbo as small as the T25 because of the pressure drop associated with the additional piping and core size.

But if money is no object and we're pulling out all the stops- DVDT Fab is the only way to go. Albert makes a gorgeous product, and each one is hand-built.

Get some strickers. Each one ranges from 2-18hp depending on size, brand, and color spectrum.

But in all seriousness, you don't need a front mount yet. Once you get a bger turbo (16g evo3 like i said earlier :D ) and start pushing the boost up, then you should worry about a front mount.

Hey that looks like Richard's ride.. well looked like!
Thats a sick front mount, love the way the end tanks curve!!

Yeah Albert's design is crazy. Whats funny is he and I had this exact discussion on fmic while he did some work for me at his shop. Now I would get his IC hands down. To bad its not made for 1g's.
