I have the chance to get a Greddy 24 row "big" FMIC kit for pretty cheap, is it a good intercooler? I can also get a ICEVEX FMIC kit for the same price which should i go with?

Not the Greddy if you want power and performance. No clue about the ICEVEX.

Well its goin on my daily driver, all im doing to it is running a blow through setup witha greddy type s bov and putting a front mount on it, so im not looking for alot of power of performance from it, just enough power to "play around" with

Your call then, I'm just not a fan of the Greddy IC as I've seen what it can do and can't do. Good luck.

get the ebay 295 bigger core I beleive and bar and plate. Unless your getting that Greddy for less than that I say the XS FMIC

The design of the Greddy is retarded. Can you post pics of the other brand? Then again, about any design is better than Greddy's.

No, i dont have pics of either of them, why is the greddy intercooler so disliked, almost everyone i have talked to said that they were good, except the people that have posted here.

Well I speak from experience and the Greddy FMIC have too much piping :notgood: too much lag

Well, i went with the ICEVEX, its deminsions are 24x12x3. and it comes with the piping to go either short or long route. And it is a bar and plate design. Ill let everyone know how good it is when i get it.
Thanks
William

B/C it's flow isn't the greatest. Actually it sucks...Greddy IC owners, feel free to chime in but let me tell you something, I have never owned one but I've been around at least three. Three which don't exist anymore. Great DSM shops will back this up too.

If you just want to run a greddy BOV and want the piping then save the money and just buy the Blow-Thru setup from slowboy. I'll get you a link here, hang tight.

Why isn't Greddy FMIC great? I have one on and it runs fine to me with a TO4E turbo. I took out about little less than half a sec on quarter mile time. I was running 13.6 with a stock and with Greddy, I ran 13.13-13.21.

If you havent run other FM intercoolers then you cant really say that the GReddy is a good intercooler.

T-25, 14b, 16g + Greddy = :)
High Boost EVO III 16G, 50Trim And Up + Greddy =

then you have the 97ft. of piping which is always a great selling point.

Well ^^^ pretty much sums it all up. :thumb:

i have a icevex fmic, with the inlets on the sides.great product, quality is great.and its freakin huge, also i seen tuner transformation on speed channel where they installed the same front mount on a supra.dynoed at 600hp and had no problems.this made me go out and get the icevex ic.

I used to have the greddy big fmic kit, i sold it and bought a dejon, both long route piping but the dejon's is still a bit shorter since it doesnt have that stupid design where the pipe goes up and around to the TB, right now one of the new intercooler pipes to the dejon (lower) has a hole in the weld so its leaking. Wont be able to tell for sure how much of a difference it makes till i get the boost leak fixed.
