hey i have a small fmic now( like 1ft l x 7in h) but i want a bigger one (like 2ft l x 1ft h) do i need a bigger turbo or can i jus throw a frontmount on my car

wtf kinda intercooler did you get that is 12x7?

anyway, FMIC's should be sized properly to the turbo rating. i wouldn't suggest going all out and getting a top/down 1050cfm full race type intercooler for your little turbo. but anything decently sized/flowing should be fine for street/race use.

the only thing you'll probably never notice is a substantial pressure drop.
 
I ran my 24R on my T25 for a couple weeks before I put my B16G on and it ran pretty well. I will say I got some weird flow characteristics because the T25 has a hard time filling/pressurizing the bigger FMIC. Around 5k I got a weird spike up to 13-13.3:1 in my AFR. I think that was the point at which the FMIC was fully pressurized and just threw a ton of air into the motor. No matter what I did I couldn't correct it. but you'll be fine.
I hope you're not doing this for looks though?
