1. your comaparing fwd to awd...what your cars are will determine which is better
2. what do you mean which is faster stock? they both have the same engines and turbos? they are basically the same car with different drivetrains (FWD and AWD) stock, the awd will have advantage off the line, the gst will have the advantage from a roll being lighter
3. don't know about an awd tsi being cheaper then a fwd eclipse
4. more reliable stock - they are basically the same car with mosty the same problems. the awd has a few more drive train parts to break though
5. everything between talons and eclipses (and lasers)will bolt from one car to the next. years may a be a different story as some year parts wont fit WITHOUT some modification

I'd go with a TSi AWD, it'll be worth the wait, nothing like AWD launches...and most of the time you see people in here wish they waited for a AWD vehicle. Its up to you though. Both are fun cars.

Which is faster? The AWD, but its like .1 or .2 seconds faster.

Ok, Talon, eclipse and laser are all the same exact car with different trim kits. Yes, every single mechanical part of the car is exactly the same. However on the issue of AWD vs FWD. Well that is just a preference. I have both a GSX and a GST. The gsx will launch like a son of a bi***. However, the gst will get better gas mileage, accelerate better from a roll...etc.... It really is just a preference. For a street car I like my GST better. It's more fun to play with people from a roll. However, in a flat out from a stop race....AWD all the way. If possible get a 92 or lower. AKA try to find one with a six bolt engine. :dsm:

I have (2) '92 eagle talon tsi awd and i would have to say that they are very fun.

it all comes down to what you want to do with it.

if you plan to drag race at a track, then perhaps you would have a lil bit more potential with the awd.

if you plan to just buy it as a back up car, then the gst would be good as well.

Both are good cars.

Im glad i waited it out and bought both of mine awd.

Good things happen to those who wait.
