Okay my last dsm was a 96 eagle talon tsi. was a big pile fixed the rust on the strut towers and fixed the tranny. After that the motor went so got a new motor. Then i decied to get ride of it so i did now i miss her. I found a project car that has rust on the strut towers (no a big deal to me can have a body shop fix it) but it has rust on the rockers im new on the subject . Also theirs no motor or tranny. It is a nice shell and interior is beautiful but this rust on the rockers scare me. anything i should be really worried about and back out of buying this car?

you can always replace the rust by cutting it out and replacing the peice but it should always be remembered that rust is like cancer the only ### to get rid of it (depending on it its bad or not)is to cut it out and it still might come back

I mean is the car a good deal or could you wait to find something similar without rust for close to the same price. If the only rust is on the rockers it probably wont be to bad just check it really well under floor pans and near hatch. I wouldn't want to replace anything near the hatch.

i bought my talon with rocker rust. Its not that bad to fix but like he said it spreds like cancer so you have to make sure you get it all cut out . And be sure to check the rest of the underneath
