I have the option of trading my 97 TSI mods 16g, 3in exhaust, greddy BOV, safc tuner tomorrow For a 1g motor swapped 95 4 door elantra running the stock 14b turbo, heres a link to it on CL 95 Hyundai Elantra Turbo. My car currently has 153k miles and a blown head gasket. This car runs i kinda dont want to but i like the idea this car runs and i have rode in it its pretty fast not as fast as the Talon tho. And the Talon looks alot better also haha. looking for some oppions thx.
PS. the Elantra doesnt look as clean as it does in the CL pics to my dismay.. Its got a decent sized dent on the hood, The hood is also flat black not glossy at all as it looks. and has rot on the wheel wells

I think it is not worth it.
. So you all guys know I'm the owner of the red hyundai elantra . I have been playing with DSMs for 11 years now and over 30 DSMs buying/restoring, so I know what I am talking about. So the history on this car is that Yes!!! it's a 4g67 DOHC Mitsu and it's boost with a 14b with 390cc (450cc too rich) injectors and I did all my wiring myself. It's tuned with a SAFC with the stock hyundai ecu and at WOT it's at 11.2 with a AEM wideband. I been driving this car boosted for 2 years now with no problem. If you do some research the 4g67 is identical to the 4g63 minus the 1.8 has a smaller combustion chamber and smaller bore. If you bore the 1.8 to a 2.0 wit forge internals and a 2.0 head, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE!!!! Trust me I did A LOT!!! of research. A lot of the CSM guys (Colt Summit Mirage) use the 1.8 on 2.0 block to raise the compression to 8.1 and uses the head gasket as a 2.0. Also the Colt GT guys use the 4g67 head on the 4g61 block as a upgrade so to say the 4g67 won't hold up, is technically false!
