Hi guys,
I recently rebuilt my motor in my 98 talon, and i forgot to reinstall the rear engine block plate. I havnt driven the car since the rebuilt so im wondering if i will run into any problems not having the plate between the motor and the tranny?
i did run into some problems with the starter, and had to add a washer the same thickness of the plate, between the starter and the bell housing.
now I'm currently installing an HKS timing belt and while doing that i noticed my water pump is leaking. so my dilema is do i pull the motor out and reinstall the plate between the motor and tranny and do the timing belt and water pump at the same time while the motor is out, or leave the plate out and do the timing and water pump with the motor in the car?.
thanks for the help
Vern

I'd say just pull the motor and do it right.
