Hi, so I'm curious what mods will the 4g63 take to hold 600 hp? I'm from the toyota world (i have a twin turbo mk3 supra) i know the balance shaft will need to disappear which I'm fine with. but what else? will stock pistons and rods hold or just bend? I'm trying to figure out a starting point to either start with the bare block i have or get a new complete engine. the engine that came with our talon (in pieces) has a bent connecting rod which makes me nervous about what else is messed up since an oil squirter is broken as well in a different cylinder. thanks!

The balance shaft doesn't need to disappear, but it may be a good idea. every engine is different i Have a buddy make 634 hp on stock bottom end, but it would probably be a good idea to go with forged rods pistons for reliability and since your engine is already apart. The mods to achieve this have been covered numerous times and there is an upgrade path on this site. Use the search feature it will do wonders.
