i have a 90' eclipse that i am looking to do a complete engine rebuild with forged internals. I was to buy a bare 6 bolt block so that i can keep driving my car while i build my motor. what should i expect to pay for a bare 6 bolt block?

You can get just the block for cheap if you look around real good, I got a long block for $100.:laser:

I got a bare block for 100. With the crank block and main caps. I would say 3-400 will get you something decent in longblock form.

I would say 3-400 is a pretty fair guess, of course there are always some deals out there. But beware of cracks or excessive wear. If you can mic out the cylinder walls and check that they are still within spec.

I got my running 6-bolt with fwd trans, turbo, accessories, etc, for $120:sneaky:. Just gotta know where to go haha

I sold my bare block for $50. Not to jack your thread, but Im selling my un-cut 6 bolt crank - anyone know what I should price it at?

Well for a bare block $100-200 is reasonable with the crank. For a complete running longblock nywhere from $450-$600 is the norm.
