This always happens, I want to buy an exhaust system but right now I am on a tight budget (just bought a house). I really want the Thermal 3" TurboBack, but unfortunately can not justify it, and afford it. I am willing to settle for the Buschur 2.5" TurboBack, but I know for a fact that as soon as I buy the Buschur, someone is going to sell the Thermal turboback for the same price that I am about to pay for the Bushur....but no one is selling one right, ARGH ARGH. and I actually do need an exhaust system, what to do what to do!?!? My first Gen had a 3" Thermal, damn, I miss that sound... Help Fellow DSMer's! What to do....

I am sure the flex on the down pipe is enough. Does your megan downpipe have the stock flange? I don't know if the lancer housing is the same. I did a little extra work on mine, I cut the stock flange off the 02 sensor and welded a 3 inch flange on, then I portet the 02 housing flaring it out to 3 inches by the flange. This was before I knew about boost creep otherwise I would have spent a little more time on it. I still havent hooked up my boost guage so I dont know if it was enough, but since I got pulled over for a noise violation I have been running my 1 1/4 Apex i silencer tip so I am not too worried about creep for now. My next project will probably be installing the magnaflow cat, Lancer 3" resonator, and my boost guage so I can take out that damn restrictor. I am sure I am running less horsepower now with my 3" than I was with stock. :barf: Damn cops take the fun out of everything.
