ok i have 550 bucks to spend on parts for my car. My clutch is starting to slip so im going to have to buy a new clutch.im thinking of buying a xtd racing clutch(http://www.aimcoclutches.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=126).i have a 95 eprom ecu i bought from ebay that also came with a tmo chip programed for 550cc injectors(http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8020808138).im thinking of buying 550cc injectors and useing the tmo chip.i want everyones opinion on if i should get the injectors and use the tmo chip or should i get something else first.i also want your imput on the clutch im thinking of getting.

Buy the clutch, whichever you choose, and get that installed. While you have the tranny out check for any shaft play in it and make sure your maintenance is up to par. You may want to stick an LSD in the tranny while it's out, if you can swing it. You'll be having traction problems soon if you aren't already. :talon:

What are your plans for the car? This will help everyone get an idea of what parts are needed for your goals.

for now,i would like to get the most power out of my car with the $550 i have.i def. need a new clutch though.i want to buy 550cc injectors so i can use my tmo chip i got with my eprom ecu.im not sure if i should get the injectors with the money left after buying the clutch.im thinking about it,but i want your opinion

For the clutch i suggest you get the ACT 2100 or 2600. never heard of the clutch that you mentioned about.

XTD is a generic version of an ACT. Changing a clutch is not something I like to do on a regular basis, and to pay a shop to do it over again would be costly so I'm not sure I would put a generic clutch in my car. The stage 2 one pictured on the page you posted cost $205, and I recently purchased a new ACT2100 complete kit on eBay for $230. Don't get any kit with a puck disc, they are harder to drive smoothly and tend to destroy flywheels.

i have a question.my brother told me i should get a stock clutch to save money so i could get a coilover kit for my car.i would like to know if a replacement oem clutch would keep up with my current mods on my car.

Here is a question you should ask yourself. Do you really want to have to pull the tranny again because you decided to get a stock clutch? Do it right the first time and get a 2100 or 2600.

should i get a new flywheel as well.my stock flywheel seems to be fine.if i do need to get a new flywheel, should i get a oem or a lightend flywheel

If your stock flywheel has anthing wrong with it I would second "eclipsh's" suggestion - get it resurfaced or get a lightened one. I have both the ACT 2600 clutch kit and XACT lightened flywheel and I can tell you from these mods alone made a huge difference in driving and performance.

I 3rd "dan95tsi" for an ACT clutch. After a year the thing is the best mod I have put on car(for driving enjoyment that is- oh besides the 3052:rocks: . If you are going to be putting a new clutch in please do not :nono: put a stock one back in. It costs a ton of money to get the clutch pulled and re-assembled, get something that will hold up to what your mods are or are going to be (and that is not a stock clutch).

I would 300% put the money towards a clutch - whichever you may choose. If it is starting to slip (like mine did) you never know when your going to be 'slipping' an entire gear. (I lost 4th) It is not fun trust me.

Get a clutch! I suggest Spec Stage 2. Very good clutch. I have the stage 3 and i love it! Then either get your flywheel resurfaced or get a new one. (step height usually around .610") Then i would get the LSD from SBR (around $180). After all that get the fuel injectors if u have money left. Oh and Titanmotorsports.com is the best place to buy a Spec if u head in that direction. U can get a good Stage 2 for under 300 dollars!

Man forget that you can get a stae 4 xtd for like less than 275 shipped to your door and it will hold just as much as a 2600 which cost like 150 more. The XTD clutches are not generic clutches they are just clutches made by anopther company just caue they're not ACT doesn't make them cheap and uselss. I have driven the stage 3 and stage 4 is in my car right now. You can even get a xtd combo package for about the price of a act 2600 which inclused tob clutch and lightend flywheel now i don't knwo about they're flywheels but the cluthces are good products.

What stinks is that if you were a 1g you could just get a 2g Mas and use the 55o's witout tuning that much. If I were you I would pick up the XTD clutch get injectors first and get something so you won't have to upgrade again and then get a keydriver chip for like 115 with all the goodies and that way you would be good to go for the future too. Check on the classifieds you can always pick up injectors for a good price from a guy trying to upgrade.

EDIT: I'm sorry stage four is only 215 shipped that's like 200 less than a 2600 with the same holding power

This clutch u got looks identical to my spec stage 3:thumb:

If you are used to the stock clutch this will be a little weird at first but youll get used to it (mostly 1st gear, clutch engages, never slips...and if you are having problems make sure the clutch rod is adjusted so the clutch fully disengages. My stupid mechanic didnt do it right so i had to...easy 10 minute adjustment). Did u end up getting a new flywheel or the LSD? How about those fuel injectors?

Good luck with everything!

im going to keep my stock flywheel and get it resurfaced, im just going to get the lsd later on.Im looking into getting injectors though. i really want to get coilovers so most likely going to buy that next. i want to make my car have a more aggressive stance and give it less body roll when going around corners.
