Looking at buying an e16g ported flapped , evo mani , tt , & a 190fp . what else do i need with current mod list . i know ill hear logging an safc , or even dsmlink . however when you look at upgrade paths on tuners and machv . the electronics are missing on machv site . are they really needed if you have the proper upgrades ? :barf:

Absolutely they are, without them your car could run way too rich or way too lean and possibly cause damage. SAFC or GM MAF will work fine, in addition to at the least a logger or preferably wideband for better tuning. Without something to control fuel, larger upgrades are potentially dangerous.

Just as an add-on note to the post above: An AFC in addition to the wideband is a decent investment, and can complement an MAF setup (although given the additional price of this, for the very limited perks it produces on something as small as a 16G it's not really worth it). However a translator is not a replacement to an AFC. I had both at one time, and they work great together with the MAF setting the baseline so you can adjust from 0 on the more accurate AFC. If I were you I'd grab a logger and an AFC and call it a day as far as the electronics are concerned.
