I've been looking around as to what 2.5" O2 housing i should use that would boly up to my rs49t which uses a bullseye housing. The housing is slightly different than the standard style mitsu housings, so i want something to bolt up perfect. Only way i thought of getting this done was to get one custom made. For all you guys that use the bullseye housing, what O2 housings did you guys use? Any info would be greatly apreciated. :thumb:

You could port match a cast housing like the EVO3 or 2g.

Or you could buy a flange and have one built by one of the guys who makes o2 housings.

A few off the top of my head are shearer motorsports, 122performance, and punshiment racing.

yeah but you would never be able to port match it cause the design is really different. The wastegate outles is much larger than teh mitsu style, so even if i ported it as much as i could, it still woulnt be enough....

this really sux, i wish i would have known about this housing before i bought it...

Did you go with an internal or external gate? I'm looking at one of RnR's 3" housings with the 38mm WG flange welded up.

Paper trace the flange and send it to one of the places listed above, I have had good experience with Andy at 122performance, and ask them to custom built you one. If you choose not to go with this route, porting a 2G/evoIII o2 housing even if if it's not a 100% match will still be much better than most pre-made tubular o2, designed for Mitsu housing and can't be ported, well not much anyway.

Buy the Flange from Bullseye and make your own O2 housing, It's not hard to do but it takes quite a bit of time, just cut the mandrel bends at the right angle, mark them, then take it to the muffer shop for welding. The total cost should be between 40-80 dollars.

I use a punishment racing one. It lines up perfect with the exhaust housing.

It shouldn't unless it was designed for the bullseye. The normal mitsu outlet is a completely different shape.

I was considering buying the flange from the bullseye website, then buying a DIY kit and getting them welded together at a shop.

yeah i ordered a flanged from bullseye and am having one made for me as we speak....hopefully it will all turn out well. I choose to go re-routed vs atmospehere dump simply cause my car is a daily. Hopefully I made the right decision. :|

Definitely the right choice, what are you expecting out of the o2 dump anyway?

My car is kinda quiet believe it or not...so for one, i was thinking that maybe this would liven things up a bit. Second i was afraid of creep. I guess we'll just have to see if i get some or not.

IMO keep it quiet, it's not how loud it is, it's how fast it is. ;)

Secondly, External wastegate on manifold or PROPER PORTING of the turbine housing are the only two right approaches to cure boost creep. O2 dump helps but so insignificantly that it's not necessary at all.

Let us know how that turns out, I was actually planning on doing the same exact thing.

Where did yous end it out to?

BTW, the guy who made me this housing is GREAT! Everything tig welded. He makes these things in a day usually. Great to work with. Best for the price too IMO.

$170 shipped including all gaskets and hardware. If anyone is interested, PM me :thumb:

This is a little late, but just for the record, you CAN port a 1G O2 housing to exactly match the bullseye turbine outlet. I sold my tubular dumped O2 housing and am temporarily using a 1G, which I SEVERELY ported. Suprisingly, it works great. I pretty much matched it exactly to the turbine outlet and WG outlet.

Just an update. Just finished the turbo install. The fitment on the housing was PERFECT. I could'nt of asked for anything better. All i have left is to install the Keydiver chip and my 850's, then it's time for some fun!

Any word of the reproduction of this o2 housing?

I use a ported EVO III 02 housing from Buschur racing. Perfect fit with a steel shim gasket. Mark
