Just looking for opinions.

Currently have just the following:

Cold air intake, wet nitrous kit, MSD ignition/wires, Megan Racing header & removed the cat, unorthodox racing pulley.

I'm currently awaiting on my AFX Howell ECU. Ordered on 6/06/2013 and it's still "in progress."

Any opinions for next mods thanks

Well it depends how fresh your motor is and how much you want to spend. Since you went with the afx like I did (which I'm about to get reprogrammed do to my injector driver acting up after 6k miles) I would get a set of Cam shafts That's suitable for your engine. If you can build the whole top end that would be best but not necessary if your motor is healthy. Check out my profile if you want to for more ideas.

What is your goal hp?

Don't really have one at the moment. I'm happy with 210WHP. and I get that when I spray the nitrous but I'm looking for maybe 180WHP from all motor.

It's freshly rebuilt.

Which 'cams' would you personally recommend?

I don't care about spending, I want my DSM to be one of the fastest N/A's eventually.

Alright I'll check out your profile.

Anyone else feel free to chime in :)

Ditch the afx and get MS if your shooting for one of the fastest N/A.

Also told ya you'd be waiting forever on Howell ;)

Oh yeah and to the question, maybe a LSD?

I would be looking to go high compression with a decent cam.

When you get into the real power adders for N/A, things get expensive. That's where I'd be headed.

If I'm not mistaken you can use the R/T head and intake manifold (certain about the manifold, not sure about the head). The R/T head has larger intake/exhaust ports. They are scooped up pretty quickly on the used market, but search around enough and you'll find gold.

I'd prefer to keep the AFX, besides Bullet (the dude with the fastest 420a n/a DSM) already said he dyno-matched both of them and the MS is barely better and that was by a professional tuner. You can find the post.

Yeah Howell isn't too fast ROFL

LSD would be a good idea thanks for that!

I got some Wiseco 10.5 yet to install them. They should work well with the AFX ecu from howell I'd assume?

Yeah it's already been expensive LOL.

R/T head from which year / model ?

Thanks for the replies everyone :)

After making that post I googled it, I was wrong. They are very similar, but the intake and exhaust are opposite. It's better that way IMO, then the exhaust doesn't run under the oil pan. Not necessary but you may see some gains. You'll also have to likely use a Neon header after that too.

I have never used an AFX ECU, but I do know megasquirt works well with these.

I also think 10.5:1 is kinda weak, you can do better than that. Unless you're tuning the car on Californian 91 octane vagina juice, you've got some growing room. That will make your power goal easier to achieve.

Mark Bullett is the man to ask about n/a 420a performance. Google him, because I don't think I can refer you to another forum.

The neon head does not work better Then the 420a. Ton of neon guys swap to a 420a so they can run a bigger Turbo and it flows better with port work.

10.5 compression with nitrous On the afx would not be recommended honestly That's a recipe for disaster. You would need to have it tuned or you would be knocking for sure. Meth injection would be a must unless megasquirt was being used to tune it on 93Oct. Also the afx can only be used with 91Oct That's the way it's set up.

Mark is a master mechanic for the past 20+ years and built alot of track cars That's a big reason he has the fastest n/a. Currently he is around 225 with no spray and I think he Did away with the ITB which he ran 43lb injectors with.

Anyway you should get a 60mm TB and a set of nitrous grind camshafts. I would Call crower and talk to one of their techs to help you choose the proper ones for you. I would add more info here but I have to take off for work. Pm me for any questions

I'll be moving to Chandler really soon too Maybe we can meet up if your close by.
