What is widest 16" Rim on a 1Ga Awd lowerd 1.5" ?

I have seen quite abit of talk on this, but with awd 2Gs and 1Gb Fwd.

My car has a 1.5" drop and, I am looking to run a 245/40/16 or 245/35/16 with at +42 and 16x7.5 rubber so the rubber is level with the rim.
Is this posable? I have been told that 235/40/16 is posable. But will whole wheel well assembly handle it at the 245/35/16 and off set 42 off set with out rubber trying to eat suspension, fenders ECT? or burning stock hub bearings,"if thats a problem I need new higher end hubs that can handle the HP." just mention it in your post.

I dont mind if the rims hang out the edge of the car by a bit. I can role my quorter panal and dogleg edge of the rear wheel well. Also I can just order my CF fenders with a slight flair.

I was able to fit 16x8 rims from a 3000gt on my 90 Laser RS Turbo FWD. But I dont think you could get any wider, and if you don't have a fmic then you might rub the side mount. I bought Fuzion HRi 225/50-16.

I have Fm with short style piping "beside the rad" so no rub from the smic.

Just wondering, but where are you getting the CF fenders from?
