what is this noise

Hey im rather new to DSM but i have a problem regarding my engine. I wanted to ask ya'll before i took it into my garage. Im running my talon on 65 shot of spray and every time i run at the tracks my headers over compress. What is wrong

Maybe it's just me but I have never heard of such a thing. Maybe a better description of the problem would help.

Your headers over compress? First off turbo dsm's don't have headers. Second off you have to be more clear on your problem for us to diagnose it.

A couple of things you need to understand if you want to stay around.

1) This site has a bunch of car enthusiasts that know DSM's inside and out, to the last bolt. They don't appreciate people coming on with, as Defiant eloquently put, their head up their ass.
2) Read through the archives of this site and www.vfaq.com and www.dsm.org to educate yourself on the knowledge that is already out there.
3) As mentioned before, turbo cars don't have "headers"
4) Change your track time to your "ACTUAL" time. Posing only pisses us off.
5) When you ask "what is wrong" give us more details. What do you mean by "over compress the headers"? What does the "noise" sound like? Bottom end of the engine or top of the engine? Give us your mods list.


This site and many other DSM sites are great resources for building your own knowledge and for the most part, we are all do-it-yourselfers. We have very little patience for those who expect the answers to their questions without doing any of their own work. Keep that in mind. If that offends your keen eye for detail and makes you adjust your hat beyond a 30 degree angle to your face, do us all a favor and sell the car now. Otherwise, if you are willing to learn and ask coherent questions in English, welcome aboard.
