yes i really like the EVO shif knob.. but it $$$$ from satan..

Its alright. I have one that i alternate with between my 2g GST knob. I happen to like the heavyweight 2g knob a little better.

MOMO Race Airleather shift knob with B&M Short Shifter and Symborski Shifter Kit = a winning combo. The B&M doesn't shorten it too much, but makes a huge difference when set to 50% throw reduction. Also MOMO makes shorter versions of their already short shift knobs, but they don't look as good. MOMO isn't a screw on, but will fit on REAL tight. I've had mine on for 8 months and it hasn't loosened at all. Remember you get what you pay for. MOMO was about $70, but it looks like you're driving inside an Italian sports car, haha.

Im trying to pick out a shift knob an i can't decide which one so i figured that i would ask everyone else what they liked so far. i want something comfortable and something that won't get real real hot in the summer im not worried about the cold cause im putting it away for the winter. and i also want something short so what has worked for you everyone else? does anyone have one of the ones below or something like them ? thanks

I like those ones where you can adjust the height, just because I have a really short shortshifter, and I can't rest my arm when I shift with a normal knob on, but those ones you can raise up about an inch to 3 inches, i adjust them to just the right height, than when I wanna look good for a show or event, I just lower it all the way back down. (thats what I have on the camaro)

i like the stock leather stitched one - just feels good. the leather wrapped one in the wrx is really nice too.

I got a 2g shift knob in my 1g. I got mine from machV, it is a heavy knob thats almost 6 ounces. It also sits lower than a stock 2g as my buddy put one in his GSX.

Razo Heavy Ergo knob:

Otherwise a white resin knob would be the most comfortable temperature wise. Metal knobs are hot in the summer. The stock 2g knob is a great knob and is available new for ~$25.00

I have the Greddy counterweight knob, and it is great. I used to have one like picture 2 in the first post, and the Greddy is much easier to grab onto, not to mention it makes shifting feel a lot easier being as heavy as it is.

The counterweight GReddy is sure more practical, but i must say that if it's about looks, you're better off with the dark silver/CF knob (from your choices, that's the one i prefer)

I have the evo8 knob and i love it. it's way better then the stock 2G knob. I also love the greddy counterweights.

Does this one have stock threads (2G Eclipse), or does it use one of those shims?
Does it get hot in the summer?

Thanks,

Ok i found two that i liked but am having trouble on making the definite decision so which one?

I've had the Greddy Counterweight for quite along time...I really like it but there are a few things, like if you park in the sun it will literally be to hot to touch and in canadian winters it gets really really cold and also it gets covered in scratches.

Razo Heavy Metal (340R) Ball Knob. I love it...gives you more control in shifting.

It looks weird with a stock shift boot so I ordered a leather shift boot with no plastic reducer thing on the tip from Redline Accessories. I'll have pics tomorrow when my car gets outta the bodyshop.

I got the stock 2G knob myself (not leather wrapped):

Had the counterweight GReddy on my Supra, it was a nice piece but I prefer stock/OEM leather wrapped knobs that are short, to the point, and dont cost $40+.
