Does the audi shift knob have revers ewhere first is? I worked at a car wash before, and bmw's and If i remember correctly had reverse where first is supposed to be..

Reverse is in the appropriate location

Some VW's and Audi's DO have it next to first gear but this one is the same as an eclipse under fifth gear.

I also plan on getting a short shifter soon which would make it look even nicer IMO...

Vdubs Audi's and Bmw's..Except Bmw you had to lift up on the shifter to go into reverse..That was kinda cool..But that was also on newer Bmw's..

Except Bmw you had to lift up on the shifter to go into reverse..That was kinda cool..But that was also on newer Bmw's..

You don't have to lift up on the shifter on BMWs, you push it to the left like you are going to put it in first, then push harder to go past the initial resistance and put it forward.

I've driven some M/T Fords that have had you lift up a ring or push down on the shifter to get reverse.

As for the knob; the color doesn't look like it matches perfect. Maybe put some black vinyl die on the shift boot to match the black color? Other than that, the shape looks decent. Does it have good weight/feel to it?

Its not to bad but I really like my heavy Oem better. Its heavy and since I work at mitsu it was around 15 new.

It took me a little to get used to it, but it grew on me fast! I will get a short shifter and a black boot for it like was suggested to further the appeal. The weight and feel is Superb, also the quality is clearly superior to the OEM Mitsu. Anyone have a black boot cover?

+1 on the EVO shift knob. The audi one looks good but its not for our cars.
