I love my OE heavy leather knob. It shortens the throw just enough to make it enjoyable to shift - and no more horsec*ck.

Defiant - you sure they went to a shorter knob while the 1Gs were still rolling off the assemblyline? I've never seen one that had a shorter STOCK knob.

duke, there is definitely much less notchiness from the oem heavy leather knob, for sure.

ive been lookin to replace my shift knob too, but all the ones i've seen all use sleeves and don't thread into the stock lever. Will the ones MachV sells thread onto the stock lever, or do they use sleeves too?

I like my shift knob. I think it's the stock 93 one but I'm not sure. I see no reason to buy an aftermarket one, this one seems perfect.

The machv one i posted threads into all dsms, and most mitsubishi i think.

I like my evo one, i wish it was heavier, but i still really like it. But i had the Greddy counterweight for a whuke, but got rid of it in favor of a leather round one. (actually i just had to give it back to my friend that i stole it from :p ) i wish i could get a Greddy counterweight covered in leather like my evo knob. then i could have leather and weight. :D

This is what i would get if i bought a new shift knob
