What is needed to run a 2G MAS on a 1G

Ok so i've look but sadly i haven't been able to find what i was looking for so here's the question.

Ok so i bought my first dsm about a month ago from my friend, and when i bought it from him he gave me alot of extra crap he bought for the car, but never had the time to install.

So yesterday i was in the garage looking thru the crap he gave me and i found a 2G mas with a new k&n filter on it and the plug and play harness to plug in to the 1g mas plug.

So my question is what will happen if i install it will i being running really really rich or what , i installed it on my car just to ck to see how it fits, it fits perfectly and plugs right up to the stock plug.

So i'm not sure what to do it looks like it will flow alot more air then the 1g since the inlet hole is alot bigger but not sure what else.

But i haven't started the car yet since i'm not sure what it will do so any help would be great guys.

Due to the different calibrations of the two sensors, installing a 2G MAS in a 1G car will result in roughly a 20% lower airflow signal. Running this without appropriately sized injectors or a tuning device will cause you to run too lean. The good news is a set of 550cc/min injectors will just about make up for the difference in calibration and get you close to stock AFRs without any further modifications.

Thanks man it sounds like it's a good idea to swap in the 2g i guess now i need to find to find some 550cc injectors

get a logger to see how she s running
