OK I have been searching for some time and just cant seem to find any links for it.

I would like to know whats involved with doing this convertion. Can I use my intake pipe and mas can off my 1g or do I need to get it off the 2g car? What tuning do I have to do?
I think the biggest thing would be the wireing so any input would be great.

I am getting ready to install 550's a FMIC and s-afc and would like to do this upgrade at the same time to help support the rest.

Thanks Dan

Dan,

This should get you headed in the right direction:

I would also look at picking up a new intake pipe that has the oval inlet for the 2G MAF. Dejon Powerhouse has some pipes that will work with that setup and you can find a listing for them on our Supporting Vendors page.

Cheers,

Andy

Anytime!

Here's an example of the type of pipe you would use for a 2G MAF on a 1G. I got this from:

http://www.dejonpowerhouse.com

Look at the 1st Gen intake section and it's towards the bottom of the page. They also have different sizes based on your compressor inlet diamater so you can pick and choose that as well.

I would also suggest not doing the mas upgrade until you're sure the other stuff is installed and working correctly. This way if something is messed up, there's less to troubleshoot.

Very good point!
That is the plan. Im just trying to get all the parts and info. so I can put it all together over the winter and save time come summer when I start doing the upgrades on my GSX.

Got a logger, that was the the 2nd thing I bought for the car right after the factory service manual.

A newbe with a plan! kinda scary? LOL
