What is it? Next to Oil Filter

looks like an oil pressure sending unit...either for your dash gauge or your ECU.

it for oil pressure for the dash sometimes the wire comes off and the oil pressure gauge in the car drops, pull over and check there first.

Sweet.. thanks guys..

The reason that I asked is because the wire connecting to it is not longer shielded and the bare copper is exposed .. looks like its not in there very well and I was wondering the urgency of the issue.
