Looks like it's threaded in crooked but it lines up pretty well with the bulge visible from the wheel well. I think the black fitting on the end is a cap, honestly just too terrified to open up another can of worms.

Any ideas what this would be for? Thinking maybe for a "real" oil pressure tap. Which would be sort of cool as long as the threads aren't screwed. No pun intended. :coy:

And don't mind the broken idiot light sensor or chocolate milk oozing out of the housing, working on that right now.

It is screwed in correcting. It's for feeding oil to the turbo off the housing or use it for oil pressure reading.

Solution
I dont mean to thread jack but since that is solved...

So is that the alternative to feeding the turbo from the head?

for some turbos, people feed the turbo from the oil filter housing

Alright well my 14b is running off the head.

And my stock oil pressure sending unit is mounted on the housing back farther.

So I could use one of the front holes for an aftermarket oil pressure gauge right now then?

And in the future if I go to a bigger turbo I could feed it off the other hole in the front of the oil filter housing, and block off the head port correct?

(Sorry Im getting to know my oil filter housing since Im porting the releif valve as we speak. LOL)

Yes, you can feed turbos from just about any port on the oil filter housing. But I suggest you do a lot of reading concerning restrictors to keep the oil pressure and volume at what your turbo manufacturer suggests. There are a lot of opinions out there, as well as setups that work. But I believe it best to feed all MHI tubos from the head. 2Gs had Garrett Tiny-25s, which probably have different oiling specifications than the 14b and 16gs found on 1Gs and GVR-4s.

Don't worry about threadjacking, already got what I was looking for. If I don't have to fight too hard with the timing cover, I'll probably take the housing off just to see what it's all about.
