Whats the trim of a B16g, and were and how much would it be for another air side?? the one i got is messed up, bent fin and chip one. thanks
 
There are no "Trims" in Mitubishi turbo-land, just ID numbers. I.E:

-tdo4 "series"

-tdo5 "series"

-tdo5h Turbine wheel

-tdo6 "series"

-tdo6h turbine wheel

Your big 16g compressor wheel will ID out like this:

-tdo5 B16g

These wheels can be acertained at almost any DSMturbo retailer I.E. Forced Performance, or Slowboy Racing.

Trim is just the exducer divided by the inducer. So a 16g is about a 50 trim.

it's a little bit more than just simple division... I don't have the exact forumula handy but yeah. The 16G isn't a 50 trim. The 50 trim can flow enough to support 475 HP w/ race gas on a good tune. So the trim of the turbo isn't going to tell you what it flows.

You can replace just the compressor wheel. You dont need a whole new CHRA. Just send it to one of our trusted vendors for a new compressor wheel, and a full rebuild and balance. :thumb:
 
I will assume compressor since the Turbine is the same on each...

Trim is just a slang term used by people, it really doesn't mean anything.

Because it is a ratio it all depends on the wheel size.

If you use the example above, a person with a small 16g could say they have a 60trim which is correct, but then a real 50 trim (in dsm terms) would be much bigger and capable of more hp.
