GreenBelt,
Well after an exhausting 7 weeks i finally have my 50 trim turbo back. The damage was pretty extensive as i have already posted in other threads. the only usable part was the turbine housing. everything else is new including a brand new 50 trim compressor wheel

I failed to remove the coolant supply/return and oil return flange and elbow when I sent the turbo out. Needless to say they did not come back so I will have to get new installation hardware on monday.

yup getting a turbo back a week short of 2 months for a rebuild. then to find the wrong compressor wheel does not help much either

No Larry. SBR handled the rebuild for Leo. Looks good. Thats a Turbonetics compressor cover. And, wrong wheel?? What do you mean? Your SIG has also changed. Wonder whats going on here. Hope service was everything poeple say it is for you Leo. Havent dealt with Mike personally. Something go sour?

I dont want to go to deep into service issues, but the NJdsm board has a good guy bad guy section that any local semi local dsm guy can post their experience with local venders. i think good guy bad guy lists are to under used, I guess when im wrong i DEAD WRONG.

Z1500:

Yes sir that would be me and thats my story, unedited and uncut. As soon as i can afford a full garrett kit you will hear from me.

91gsx:
I have not found out what wheel is in it for sure. I do know its between a 54,5 and 60 pretty wide spectrum HUH.

for some reason the picture of the turbo keeps getting removed but here is a link to the picture of the wheel.

What you do not realize is when your compressor cover is all torn up from your "50 trim" walking out through it, the cover needs profiled. Period. Simple, end of story. The same size wheel you had, will not work in the old cover. Make sense?

The water fittings were in the box. If you need an oil return, shoot me an email.

Yes, this deal did go quite sour. JDMAWD likes to post my emails in other forums, and yes they are my words. I suggest everyone visits the thread.

I just wish he would tell everyone how he called three times a day, sent 4-5 emails a day, badgering other employees when I was not here, and posted the actual emails that got me to the boiling point.

Then he calls a friend of mine ( who he knows through the internet )and tells him how he wants to kill me, and sue my company. There is always someone out there......

Yes JDMAWD, you are a real Gem. Keep up the good work. LOL

Regards

Mike if you had my turbo for two months you would be getting a lot of calls from me to that is undertandable.

Guys you have to realize that saving money rarely saves you money and when it does it costs you your time checking up on things or in delays. Spend the extra 50 bucks or whatever and go somwhere that you can have a stress free transaction.

There is SO much more to this than you know, and I cannot waste my time defending SBR on the Tuners list because of one bad apple.

JDMAWD, You forgot to mention that three-four weeks ago I offered you a BRAND NEW 16g to use while you were down. Funny how these things get overlooked.

the cover you sent is not my old compressor cover ARE YOU ####ING STUPID
Actually, it does not make sense because I did not ask for an older cover nor did I ask for a larger or different wheel. Nor did you explain to me at any point that I would receive anything other than a rebuilt turbo of the identical specs as what I sent out for repair. I explained to you that I was willing to pay up to $750 to have my turbo repaired. I also explained that after you opened the turbo and it would cost more then the $750 to repair, I would pay you for your labor and you could send the turbo back. I have no idea where you got the idea that I wanted an old turbonetics compressor cover a compressor wheel other then what I had is beyond me.

Not to worry I got that part covered

I just wish he would tell everyone how he called three times a day, sent 4-5 emails a day, badgering other employees when I was not here, and posted the actual emails that got me to the boiling point.

Lets clarify since we are throwing accusations out in the open. I emailed you on 4-25-03 which was 6 weeks into the repair and you stated that the turbo would need a new center section, you also explained that it would put the repair over budget and were going to send me a *new turbo* at the rebuild price. In that same e-mail you said you would have an exact total for me at the end of the day.

6 days go past and guess what.... no e-mail no phone call and no response from anyone at slow boy racing. This was the point when I decided to call your shop to inquire about my turbo that was promised to be sent out at the end of the week prior. If you feel calling your business after 7 weeks is badgering and harassing then frankly you are a bad businessperson, it is as simple as that.

Then he calls a friend of mine ( who he knows through the internet )and tells him how he wants to kill me, and sue my company. There is always someone out there......

Wrong again I spoke to Chad online and explained the situation to him in its entirety. I also had my lawyer look at your website and explained what happened, and was told I had many legal options if I chose to peruse that course of action. Kill you... please get over yourself already I simply told Chad that I seriously did not need to meet you ever and that’s that. The things you said in your email I did not take lightly and neither would anyone else.

Yes JDMAWD, you are a real Gem. Keep up the good work. LOL

Thanks all I expected was fairness honestly and to receive what I paid for if that makes me exceptional in your eyes then I am sorry for that. All I asked for is to have my 50 trim turbo repaired and to be notified how long that would take you failed to complete any and all of my request. Now I have a turbo with a mystery compressor wheel. Oh well you got your money and its obvious that’s what matters.

PS: how long has Chad been waiting for his turbo FEBUARY? Im glad im not your friend my god slow boy is right.

You are correct sir i asked for a 50 trim wheel in a to4e compressor housing, it is funny how things get over looked.

2 different poeple that were sold a "50Trim" turbo, and 2 people that recieved different wheels. Sounds like really bad business to me. Isnt that considered frawd?

BTW: How did your Garrett deal go anyway, SlowBoy? Or should I say didnt?
