What Else Do I Need To Hit 13's???

First of all, my long term goal is 300-350hp on pump gas and 375-400 on race gas. I know I still need to get injectors, fuel management, fuel pump, and exhaust. Only problem is that if i put exhaust on now, im going to have massive boost creep. Next problem is I dont have cash to throw around to get my turbo ported and clipped, DSM link, 255lph, and 660's. Would I be safe getting away with using a 190lph and Evo injectors + exhaust?? AFC also? Thanks :talon: :dsm: :laser:
 
h3o, am I to understand that you have gotten under 2 sec 60' with the stock 14B. I didn't see a turbo mentioned in your profile. That is awesome and a testomony to those who think that a slow spooling turbo is better for FWD. I think you should just lift you foot off the happy pedal a little. How much weight do you suppose you've removed? You cut your spare tire "basket" out of your car? No LSD? Incredible!

haha ya my car weighs 2750 with me in it (i weigh 200lbs) and yes this is with the 14b, i wish i had the damn time slips but if you look at my old ones i used to cut 2.1 60's and that was totally stock.

also the i just barely hit a sub 2 sec it was 1.925 and that was the run i did the 13.2 on. i did alot of weight loss on this car, as soon as i find someone that can make me a rear lexan window for cheap ill lose that much more weight, hell maybe ill go on a diet(nah im to lazy) i have the full post on what i took out on *cough cough* dsmtalk *cough cough*

o and if you ask about launching heres a tip, i leave with my 2 step on 4500 but i only push the throttle maybe halfway through first gear, then as soon as im ready to shift to second i power shift it. so far the quickest i cut was 1.72 on drag radials. also my tranny is welded like a spool to help traction

Thanx. I've used a similar launching method i've used on the *cough cough* street;) . And killed quite a few unsuspecting high power competitors. You seam to have it down to a science. But really, with my 18g, I can literally burn the tires up in 3rg gear during a roll at 45-50 mph, with my good tune. I am still tuning my 60-1. I need slicks and some more suspension tweeks. I have an LSD insert that gives me consistant double black marks no matter how inconsistant the road surface has been. If I can cut 1.9 60fts then I might just stay with this FWD body.

like everyone on here says practice practice practice. O also the coil stiffeners helped out alot and only costed $5 at checkers

You could get into the 13's with SAFC. And if you dont want a FMIC i'd still suggest at least a Supra SMIC.

I wouldnt reccomend the Supra smic now that Ebay front mounts intercoolers are so cheap.
Plus E-bay intercoolers Do a MUCH better job.
