In before the melee

The I love the stock look and nothing else guys will feed on your soul tonight.

Dude, thats pretty sweet. Three years? It would suck if you didn't like it. I love the look of my car. But it needs a paint job badly.

Thank you, LOL sorry i should've been more clear the body and paint took about 3 months, but I've had the car for 3 years. The color for my car is pretty unique for DSMers its a Mazda color called "phantom blue"

I'm personally not digging any of it, but take a picture of the blue itself without enhanching it so we can see how it really looks. I just don't like bodykits in general for the most part and there are only a few times that I find them "ok". But the side shot for the rear looks nice, but not the full bumper though. Like Never Satisifed stated, those "caddy" emblems just don't belong.

Ya I feel you, but trust me you would think differently if you saw the car in real life, the body kit is really not that flashy, its one of those cars you need to look at twice to appreciate the beauty... and ya im thinking of taking the symbols off. I'm also doing the tha all controversial 1.8 to 2.0 turbo swap so once the FMIC is in i will get rid of the mesh and that will throw all rice out of my car.

This is the real color... no enhancing

Color isn't too bad, the 2g had a blue as well (rare) in a similar shade but this one is lighter though.

The rims are Advanti Racing rims I got them real cheap from my mechanic

Your bumpers and sideskirts don't seem to flow. Your bumpers are very flamboyant/exaggerated and your sideskirts are more sleek. But even if that wasn't the case, i still wouldn't like it. Sorry dude, but my personal opinion is that the body looked way better the way it did when it rolled out of Normal, IL. But... its your car, I'm glad you're happy with it.

To be honest you can't mix a extreme rear and front bumper with a sleek side skirt than throw on a murder type emblem. Like the paint and rim's get different front and rear bumper. But here's a picture of a guy i know's 1g gst that i loved the look of. Not sure if others would agree but I'd still rather have my car haha. Any way's here is a clean looking 1g with a body kit.

sorry but i don't think that white one looks good.. and the sideskirts i have would be flush with the 1g stock front bumper so if i ever decide to change it, it would still look good.

That about sums it up.

The lines on the car are even thrown off with the OP's car. The sharp angle onto the rear bumper, not to mention all that extra room behind the wheel, just looks odd.

I don't want to know, but I'm curious to the site you found that on HAHAH

Overall I agree that the only good body kit on a DSM is the Talon "kit" :thumb: if you want an extreme look, but that's on the 2g. The 1g should be left alone as well personally unless you want to turn it into a rare Laser.

Love the colour man. The kit just needs a little tweaking in my thoughts, but to each their own.
