i just saw this thread for the first time and im completely amazed.. this is awesome because i think i was just reading threads not too long ago about how the srt4 swap is not possible to do..

i love the manifold sticking through the hood i think it looks sweet, but preferably i would rather keep that hidden

as for people knocking the lambo doors, imo if the lambo door kit doesnt add any weight over the stock doors why not?? lambo doors are very effecient being that our doors are like 5 feet long..

i would still like to see more pics too

Im so glad you did this swap i dont know why but i thought i was going to be the only one that wanted to do this swap all im thinking about now is the hood... i wouldnt want a big hole in my hood like that let us know if you can get the hood on with out cutting a hole in it if you decide to do that..... im still debating on buying an SRT-4 engine or just overhauling my 420a

You know, I've often joked around about transplanting the PT GT engine I have into the talon to fix the problems with the dsm instead of using it in the Shadow I have. !

This is very cool to see, as I was wondering if anyone would actually try it out The 2.4L engine is a stout motor. I look forward to seeing more photos of this, espically of the mounts and such.

Most likely all this guy did was drop the srt-4 motor into the engine bay and took crappy pictures of it. After that he realized this task would require more knowledge than just the ability to operate an engine hoist and threw in the towel.

Sick swap, I actually for some reason have more interest in this swap then the 2jz in a 2g. I guess because the idea of the layout according to the rs/gs's.

I am a previous SRT owner, and I must say that is effin cool. I would've done the original SRT intake manifold, but never the less it is pretty awesome

This could make for a nice build. I do know where I can get a 98 GS for couple hundred.
Would be worth getting and swapping to this. Anyone know where a srt-4 motor is for cheap?

Just stumbled upon this while searching to see if a stock SRT turbo could be used in my GSX. All I can say is wow! What a bummer and a lot of wasted time if this didn't work out. Awesome idea though and a solid 10 for creativity.
