What do these plugs tell you?

Just pulled these tonight and replaced them, they look pretty bad to me but I'm new to DSM's, is this pretty normal? Some of them have gaps over .050!

Looks like one is pretty lean and maybe get a close up shot on the far left one... .50 is crazy .28-30 is where ha wanna be

Yeah I gapped the new ones to spec, but I was a little taken aback at how white these plugs are, looks like they have been running hot!

Looks like your camera focused on the wrench flats instead of the ends....so it's hard to see any detail. Nothing really jumps out, but I'd like to see a better pic of the ones on the ends. Something looks "off" with those two, but can't tell exactly what it is.

Premium, 91 octane, 10% ethanol, good info on the first link, perhaps I should step down to a cooler plug and check my timing.

A new set of plugs made a HUGE difference in my acceleration and performance!

I put in bp6res gapped at .28-.30. gonna pull em in a week when my spark plug wires get here to check them. The ones I pulled were also bp6res but some of them had WIDE gaps +.50!

The gaps are definitely too big... Electrodes are worn down.

Second plug from the left look like it ran the hottest...

Far right plug looks off... Has some build up on it... Might be coolant.

And the porcelain on the far left is discolored more than the other 3, but I'm not sure why. I'd run a compression check to be safe

Those tell us nothing other than it sucks oil, and needs maintanance.
1. No close up of the insulator. Why would you even thi I that is a suitable picture?
2. Been run way to long to read at all.
3. Probably a heat range too hot.
4. The engine burns way to much oil to tune it well.

left two look really lean and it looks to me like your far left looks a little green in color maybe coolant, and threads also look like there oil soaked but maybe its just me, wait no bad pictures post better ones before asking what we think. i agree with bastarddsm ^

NGK's are cheap enough compared to other plugs that I change mine with every oil change to every other depending on what kind of driving I was doing.

The nose of the insulator really only tells you idle and part throttle

Sorry the pics weren't better quality, but all of your input is still helpful. It doesn't seem to burn oil but I'll definitely keep a close watch for that. Maybe next time I should put in bpr7es instead of 6's. But I was under the impression cooler plugs were for modded motors, this one is bones stock except for the intake.

It does burn oil that's what all that ash on the plugs is. That motor will be knock happy if you try and make power with it.

For your reference after one or two passes the plugs are too old to read. Look for a color change on the ground strap, that's timing, towards the tip is to little toward the shell is to much? You want it in the bend. The cad plating on the end of the shell is fuel/ timing you want it about 2/3 burned off.

You also want the cad Plating burned on the
First 2/3 threads, that's your heat range. Favor a cold plug if it stays clean.

Here's a couple of my plugs. These are crap pictures cause my
iPhone sucks balls. This was e85 30psi conservative on fuel and timeout but the car went 10.87@129 weighing 3200, so it makes some jam.
