What spark plugs are the BEST?

I heard Plugs with 4 Prons can HURT the car because the sparks are too strong..

What Plugs should I get? Name, PIctures will do. something NOT hard to find like something I can pick up at canadian tire or something.

Lando I KNOW it's a part Number

I didn't ASK for a part number I ASKED for what TYPE is better

V Groove or the Platinum
or the standard flat

How many different parts do you know that have the same part #? V power, man.

In addition to the standard BPR6ES and BPR7ES plugs, I also like the Iridiums, which in the NGK lineup have the EIX suffix-- for example, BPR6EIX. I ran these for almost a year with no problems. Many people seem to bad-mouth them, mostly because (in my opinion) they tend to lump them in with the platinum plugs, which aren't recommended for our cars.

The Iridiums are quite pricey, though, but I had gotten a good deal on a set and decided to give them a try. I noticed a smoother idle with them installed. I recently went back to the ES line with the one range colder BPR7ES in an attempt to find out why my EGTs were so high, and still have them in. I may one day get another set of the Iridiums (in the 7-series) if I can again find a good deal on a set. I can't really justify the significant cost increase for only a slightly noticeable improvement, however.

BPR6ES is STANDARD

BPR6EY is V POWER.

I didn't flame...you keep beating a topic into the ground that has been covered a bazillion times, and then don't do any of your own research. I give you a part # and you claim thats not good enough....you need to know what is written on the box. Excuse me for not bending over backwards to spoon feed you readily available information.

:| Who said platnium is the best? Also you said you was wanting to know what plugs was the best and not a part #, if I'm not mistaken there was about 3-5 responses of NGK, then Lando told you the part # of the better one. What are you wanting everybody on the board to agree with the same plug before you then ask which one of the plugs to get?

All this about ngk's I decided to go with them. I went to pep boys and they came up with something like bKr6es instead of bpr6es. Not sure if thats the right part but it was something with a bk.Thats what their computer came up with. Got them anyway and they seem to work fine. Can anyone tell me if indeed these are the right application and the difference. thanks

The K series is what I have seen most NTers go with around here. The R designates a resistor which is beneficial to forced induction.

go in and ask for BPR7ES if they want an NGK stock number its #2023 i just bought some today! i;m sure the 6ES have another stock number but i don;t buy 6ES.

turbo, go with copper plugs they clean off faster to provide good spark, whatever pepboys gave you will work for awhile, a few weeks at best, and then they will begin to fowl, stay with copper, cheapest and the best! no need to drop alot of dough on fancy names, just get either ^'s for stock, or 7's for modded, higher boost app's.

In those two pages of replies, did you ONCE see mention of Nippon Denso? There's a reason for that. NGK plugs simply work BEST in DSMs.

However, while I'm locking this should-have-been-long-dead thread, you're more than welcome to disregard a decade-and-a-half's real-world experience and find out for yourself. If you make a discovery, please start a nice, new, fresh thread.

I have to go, the worms are coming this way.
