What Do I Need To Beat WRX's?

Two of my friends both now own WRXs; one of them is bone stock the other has a 3" turboback. My mods are simple but few, and I just want to beat them for bragging rights Mods are: N1 turboback, injen intake, and mbc. I have a 1G bov, but i'm waiting to install that once i get a uicp. What else will be needed to achieve this task?

ok well speedshifting wouldnt hurt ur tranny very much unless u didn it quick as hell cause its the clutch that gets the throttle while letting it in and out, if u speedshifted slow ( if there is such a thing) it would only hurt ur clutch.

The stock flywheel is heavy enough that a short throw would help you out alot more than speed or power shifting.

yes, but not if the rest of your car is stock

You need atleast a MBC and a free flowing exhaust
