Well while taking the gf to work. I put some gas in the car. Went to take off, bout 5 seconds later A huge CLOUD of smoke just pours from the hood, *kind of like when brian fried his piston rings in F&F 1* :). I felt like a bada**. Anyways, pop the hood and coolant hose came off the radiator. Stupid clamp wasn't clamping well. Had to walk around a town of like 400 people to find a good clamp and get home.

oh yes, how this has happens to me... one hose blows and then replaced... then another... then you buy that expensive yellow stuff... then it blows the clamp into outer space. Then the yellow stuff starts to bubble... then you give up and flush the clogs out... AND POW never gets above 1/2 inch under half. LOL Ive done the walk/push of shame so many times... now I always wear shoes... not flip flops... who know how far you'll push today....

Took the head off yesterday, putting new headstuds, Headgasket, and re doing the timing today. Proud of myself, tear down only took 2 hours! (Doing it 15+ times in your life, helps speed up the process haha).

Today I had a DSM meet at my hoagie shop. So I limped my near dead talon down. Hammered on it home as it will be it's final run on this motor...Sounded nice, I appreciated the rod knocking, piston slapping, head ticking harmony. haha Strangely it made it all the way back to the garage....

I just hope it's got enough life to move in/out of the garage via it's own power until I pull the engine...

Installed the STM Fuel Pump Rewire Kit I've been having in my closet for like two weeks now. Also tightened my alternator belt, kept squealing when car was cranked in the mornings. We'll see if it's tight enough now. :)

Took off my oil drain flange for my turbo. Its been leaking for a while now and I can see that the flange wasnt flat at all. I took the flange to work and straightened it out on the lathe, so hopefully i wont have an oil leak there anymore.

Started cleaning out the back of Project Pile. 1.5 hours to remove debris and layers of dirt and only god knows what from rear of talon. Also removing standing water in floorboards from sunroof being cracked open while what was left of hurricane Irene passed over head.
