Well the calipers are the yard were not worth salvaging,I'll find a set elsewhere. I did score a red headliner and oem red floormats(front anyway) for $17.00! Changed the power transistor,tomorrow sounds better for injectors.

I pulled the head off the talon to do the HG....lots of scraping and cleaning.

Oil filter housing ported, cleaned, and back on. Check.
Helicoiled 2 exhaust stud holes. Check.
Intake manifold bolted to head. Check.

Tomorrow head and manifold get to meet engine bay. WOOOO!

Finally...FINALLY got the engine and transmission sitting in the engine bay. Now I just gotta pop the axles in, swap rear ends, bolt the intercooler/piping/all that small crap up, and then get to the fun part of breaking the bearings in, changing the oil, and DRIVING HER. Can't wait.

Today I got Ostrich installed, thanks for a nifty desoldering gun, and I have begun fine tuning everything.

I pulled the c-v axles out of my awd donor car. I also order a 6-puck unsprung clutch disc from clutchnet. I will tomorrow go order the parts to rebuild the shafts I took out today, or order replacements.

Installed a new boost gauge and mbc, then I spent the rest of the day looking up parts online.

i ripped everything out. started with the hatch, pulled out the panels, then the carpet and carboard thingy, then the spare, and after i lifted out the spare, i looked in, and could see straight through to the garage floor... yay rust! so i vacuumed out the huge pieces and just left it. then i ripped out the interior... this actually pissed me off because i found so much crap half-assed put back together. all of the interior pieces were missing at least one screw, the friggin center console wasn't even screwed down. after i put the car in neutral it lifted straight up. i believe there is a piece missing for where the cd player goes because nothing actually holds it in there, you just slide it in and out. i did all this because i wanted to get the carpet out and clean it out of the car. what i found under the center console did not make me happy. 43738502650745 screws and bolts, AND the front plastic piece for an auto shift lever. just sitting there. chillin. i had never seen one off the shifter before so it took me a long time to figure out what it was . so the carpet is back in. nothing else is. i'm gonna see if i can find some of these missing pieces (if they are indeed missing). i'll have to look at the other 2 cars sitting here to see what's what.

so yeah... that's what i did today.

Tore down the upper engine. Discovered a cracked Cylinder Head, Melted Piston, and a gouge and scoring on Cylinder 2.

Someone at some point bored it over, and reused the stock pistons.

Anyone have a good 4G63 6-Bolt block around? I need one...

Yesterday: Replaced water pump gasket. TA DA, no more leaky leak.

Today: Car is tune at 17psi on 93 oct with 19 deg peak timing. Going to pull out timing tomorrow and add boost to 22psi or so and then re add and see what it does!

Would love to go balls deep in the 12's next time at the track...

Parted out the car. Pulling what's left of the motor/trans this week and then of she goes. Body isn't in the best shape and has bad paint cancer. Would get nothing for it if tried to sell as is. Tax writeoffs work well for me

Changed the oil yesterday. Check engine light still off. Looks good. Paint is fading more and more everyday. Clutch engagement is acting funny. Im gonna get a new slave since the master is brand new from the old one leaking on my floor. Thats about it. I drive it everyday.
