Unless you're planning on stripping it, Keep it red. Porsche red or any red thats close to the factory color. I can't stand someone that changes the color on a car but doesn't follow through with the engine compartment, door jambs, etc. Without properly stripping the car down, you won't be able to cover all the red on that car.

I was also thinking that color too, I think that color on dsm's is really good looking and would go well with the top, wheels, and c/f. So this def. is an option

On the other hand, he is right. The only right way to paint a car is to remove everything from the bay so the door jams, etc. Which would be pretty hard for me since I just installed a new engine and I dont feel like taking it out again for paint. Maybe just keeping it red would be the best idea I'm just so sick of the over produced 2g eclipse in red. Everyone in the area that has some riced up junk 2g is ALWAYS red. :notgood:

I found that my uncle will paint my car for me, now I just need to see what I want!

I have a few I'm thinking of:
All gloss black
Same color red with red top and wing
birght red like Kmoore's car:

I am personally a big fan of the orange shades i know that burnt orange color that pontiac puts on a lot of their G6 and G8's is a sick color especially of you put some black rims and window tint you will be sure to turn heads and get all the attention you want.

I was thinking that too. I love the burnt orange G8's. I'd go for that, or something along the line of a deep, metallic blue.

They actually made eclipses with that burnt orange color, if I remember right it was called sunburst orange. I havent seen very many but i loved it on my first DSM.

man I don't know what to pick. this week im gonna DA it down. LOL i have to make up my mind!

The nicest "burnt orange" color i have ever seen is actually called Tangelo . It is produced by House Of Kolor. I painted my boys gsxr few months back in it and it was absolutely insane. The sun hits it and the yellow pearl pulls right out of it but in the shade its more candy orange.

Keep in mind that eye catching is a matter of taste as well. I love the white w/black rims and limo tint but i chose my color after watching The Dark Night. The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 that is like a gun metal grey with the black rims and the yellow calipers is so intimidating i had to go with it. PPG makes a base/clear and im painting it for less then 350 all materials included (me painting) But my calipers are powder coated candy orange and my engine bay is accented the same.

So the way i would say to choose ## color is one day while ## out driving pay attention to the cars that turn ## head and then put ## own curve on it. MY 2 Cents. Hope it helps.:thumb:
