What color to paint my car? [Merged 4-8]

I dig the last supra color as well. Also you might want to check out this color.
It is Volvo Black Sapphire. It is a nice metalic black/purple. Looks black in low light conditions but indirect sunlight it looks purple. Pics don't show the purple too well but it shows it better than any other pic I could find.

You can see the color change on the front fender near the headlight (top car) and on the front bumper (bottom car).

Now that I look at the last Supra, I do see the hint of brown. My eyes were playig tricks on me and made me think it was a straight dark charcoal color.

MSB = Monkey Sh!t Brown

There was a Civic kid running around my area that worked in the maintenance department at the huge UPS hub in New Stanton. Obviously, there was alot of UPS Brown at his disposal. He painted his Civic hatch UPS Brown. Surprisingly, it looked rather good- although that color doesn't appeal much to me.

I would choose some type of rich dark blue. I've mixed PPG auto paint at my workplace for the past 10 years, so I've seen plenty of colors in their purest form. I honestly can't say I have a favorite....it would be an extremely difficult choice if I were doing an overall on my of my cars. There are a couple blues in the Import book that change from blue to violet in certain light....not as drastic of a change as the chameleon colors. Subtle, sexy....everything a 2G DSM should be.

i like the gray becaus there is a few 2g with that color but it is verry rare but i also like the redish purple with some pearl but i relly like the grayish but that my opinon well go 2g dsm is the way to go

That supra color is hot, whatever color you decide if you want the best quality paint go with glasurit. Glasurit It can be tricky to apply so see if you can find a good paint shop in your area that has experience with it. Though it may be out of your price range.

i have a 96 talon tsi awd and it needs a paint job the clear coat is shot and im thinking lamborghini green but i dont know my girlfriend wants me to keep it black

Don't paint it that color, that would just rice it out in my opinion. I'd go with your gf's advice and just repaint it jet-black. It'll look real nice.

I agree with your gf i woudnt paint it lamborghini green that would rice out the car ether paint it jet black or go to a local paintshop and take a look at the different kinda blacks they have when i painted my car i wanted something along the likes of the stock dark red so what i did was look at cars that came around that coller and got red pearl mica witch is red and gold mix.

keep it close to the same color or you will end up painting door jams,inside the trunk and engine bay to make it look good.nothing worse than a hack job.throw some metal flake or pearl in the paint,you will be pleased.it will make people look at your car instead of just a glance.

Plus, black is an eternal classic, and GF is usually right about that kinda shit. Ask mom, too. If GF and Mom agree on anything, it's one for the record books anyway. Don't tell Mom what GF thinks, and ask her opinion. If Mom says "black", too, then I don't see how you have a choice.

I've run across the same problem on my 1G. I've had many different ideas, from black and white, all black, a burnt orange and black to my latest idea which would be a dark metalic purple and gloss black. I dont think ive ever seen a DSM in that form, and I kinda like that.

i'd say stick to the black, although i'm thinking of going all flat black on mine and getting gsx rims powdercoated flat black also... super stealth look!

Hey everyone I was wondering what opinions you guys have about the color to paint my car. Nothing fancy (pearls,iridecent,kandys, etc.) just a regular color. Doesnt really need to be a eclipse color. You can see my car in my gallery or profile picture. Has a black top btw. Im thinking black with the c/f and black top with the new gunmetal wheels I just bought. Thanks for any help!

I always loved porsche red and audi s4 blue!!! maybe thats because my german cars will come before the DSM. sorry.
