i love the color altho i occasionally get into arguments with ppl about the color they claim it to be PURPLE so i correct them and tell them the real color but they continue to argue

That's why its named "magenta." In the right lighting (dusk and dawn and cloudy) it will produce purplish hues.

Magenta is a purplish red color evoked by lights with less power in yellowish-green wavelengths than in blue and red wavelengths (complements of magenta have wavelength 500–530 nm)

White looks great on all cars. But yeah on 2g's I like red. The bright sorona red like on mine looks awesome on these cars I think, especially with black wheels. I also like the deep red pearl, forgot the color, someone mentioned it, in one of the previous posts.

Right now my car is burgundy with a tan top but I plan to change the color when I get convert my GST to a talon sypder.


So I was thinking black with a tan top

Or maybe Dark blue from the LS1 f-body's with a tan top.

But id like to get some other input on maybe some other colors that go good with a tan top.( any pics or color combos would really help me out.)

I'd say go with the stock talon red paint. But you can't let other people choose for you as its your car and your the one stuck with it when its all done.

One day I'm gonna make one too! But regardless of what color you pick, I'd stay with a OEM color.
Just so it would look more like it came that way.

well If I had a black top id be very happy but thats not what my car came with and the top thats on it now is fine.

Well I’m looking to get my car painted within the next few months and wanna get a sick color out of this DSM. I’m looking for show quality since its going to be in car shows here and there while also being tasteful and not too out there like

Ill be doing a complete paint job from engine bay (including hole shaving) to door jams/etc..
I currently have a carbon fiber hood and will be getting a CF Hatch/OEM Spoiler but am opinional to painting to match car...

1st Choice
Keep stock "Barcelona Red Pearl" but go with a shade darker and either a candy or pearl to it

The color of the last supra is pretty cool. Go online and take a look at "royal saphire pearl metalic" it's from the very rare 98 canadian spec supra's. It's a blueish purple mixture.

Yea the RSP supra is nice but its a bit too blue for me, i want it to maintain a more purple color with a hint of blue rather than the other way around.

That's what I thought. I'm not a fan of that color at all. Way too much brown

I just can't see that on an Eclipse.
