What can I do with my T28?

I have a standard T28, almost new, no shaft play.

My question is what are my options with this turbo? Do you reccomend some porting on the exhaust side? How about clipping? Anything else?

I already have, ready to go on, full catback/DP 3" setup, fuel pump, dsmlink, wideband, injectors, shift kit, end clutch, air intake, and FMIC ready to go on as well (plus a few more things I am probably forgetting). I MAY go with a hi stall converter too, but right now I'm not so sure this is a good investment for a FWD.

thanks for any input.

Ummm, sell it and get something bigger and better?

If you must stick with your T28, I would suggest porting the internal WG mouth so there is less of a chance of boost creep. You didn't mention anything about the O2 sensor housing, so I would also suggest you port that to match. What have you done with your exhaust manifold? Anything?

EDIT: Oh, and please update your vehicle profile. That helps the rest of us out (and it saves us and yourself time).

You could port it and port the wastegate housing. Word of advice, which you most likely will not follow, install all those parts that you have one at a time and use them for a couple of days to make sure there is no problem with the part that you installed. It will save you headaches if something is not up to par. Hope that helps, Keith.

Port the turbine housing to hell if you wanna run a 3" exhaust with a T28.

These turbos have more of a problem with losing boost at high RPM due to the wastegate that comes with them than boost creep. I would actually recommend the FP 17 psi actuator, which many T28 owners have had great success with.

Boost creep isn't the issue. Spiking is. And I have a T28 on my car right now and I hold boost til 7100 but get spike even with ported turbine housing.

Thanks for the input. I do have a ported 02 housing ready as well, forgot to mention that. I did update my vehicle listing, currenlty I only have a 1G BOV, Brode UICP, MBC & boost gauge installed.

I do not have any solution for my exhaust manifold, Looks like I need to get my head into some porting for this and the turbo. I'm considering buying a 1G TB as well anyway so will need to hit the intake also. I haven't done any of porting myself in the past. But, I don't want to keep paying people and since I plan to be working with cars for years to come its a good time to learn. I figure it'll be not too bad with all the resources available for DSMs.

As far as install sequence, I agree. My plan is to install the exhaust setup first, the incrementally add the other stuff, the FMIC will be last.

I literally just got done installing my AGP T28 a day ago...I couldnt be happier with the difference over the T25. Im running straight wastegate, but Im at 14psi at redline (on stock 2g fuel system) think thats ok? I hear anything under 16psi is ok. This turbo is good for low 13s high 12s on a nice tune and good driving.
