I just purchased this off the net. I read about the peek hold an progressive boost settings. Anyone familiar w it. Reviews ?

I have one and love it. I monitor rpm and air/fuel with it as well. The reason I chose it was because I can monitor in real-time using the graph mode and record so I can play back and "fine tune" my boost curve. As an example I reduced the boost from 3k and gradually increased it to red-line so as not to make so much boost it would spin the wheels as the goal is traction. Adjusting the duty cycle takes some practice but give you the ability to smooth out your boost curve.
Now the bad side of this product:
Because of the proprietary nature of this product you cannot port over your recordings to your computer.
The "Auto Learn" does not work as advertised. I never could get the second stage to finish and after looking on the web it looks as though no one else could either.
The LCD screen is not robust and durable, it WILL succumb to temperature extremes ! When the temperature hits extremes, "hot summer day with windows closed or very cold winter day" the screen will not work. Also over time you will start to loose vertical and/or horizontal lines on the screen.
I had my car broken into a few summers back and they tried to steal the screen and in the process cracked it. I found one on ebay used and the description said some lines on the screen, I bought it "as I was thinking it's better than a cracked screen" and once I installed it discovered it was just as bas as a cracked screen.
I searched the internet to see if I could just buy the LCD only and found the this screen is no longer manufactures, "since 2002". I found one manufacture that would build me one based off the original specs but it would be a $1000.00 setup fee and then they could give me a quote on the cost of the screen.
So until I can find another product that can do and display all the features that this one can do it looks like I'm stuck having to buy a new one just to replace the screen.
So will I bit the bullet and buy a new one ? At this time I'd say yes as I love the capability the E-01 provides. I also have emailed Greddy a few times over the years about this model and only one have they ever replied so don't expect any support for this as well.
