what can i do for cheap to get more hp out of my 1990 turbo laser? i dont want to sped to much as i have just put in a new engine.

new intake/air filter, bigger side mount, you can even throw a fart can on there from vibrant performance or magnaflow to give you a couple extra ponies..all are fairly cheap and will each give you anywhere from 5-12 hp a piece. check the classified for more ideas/cheap performance parts

Check the TECH section (far left on the red toolbar at the top of this page) for staged upgrades for each car. Check the PARTS section for a list of parts for each car. Do a boost leak test. Do your maintenance.

OP, when you've done your homework and have decided to buy some parts and need help, then we can help you. But asking simple vague questions is only going to give you vague answers. Get a goal horsepower level, give yourself a budget, and decide what parts you'll need to get you there. Don't ask "What turbo should I get?"; instead, do some research and ask us "Should I get an 18g or a 50-trim for my 400 horsepower goal?"
