Hi everyone. I'm almost at the end of the tunnel with my 6 bolt swap/build. I've had my 7 bolt out for quite a while and wanted to get the engine bay in order before putting my 6 bolt in. Now, I have a question. What can I delete off my firewall? Here's my build list because I know that'll help:

•Hot tank/bore .020"
•Std. 6 bolt crank
•JE Pistons
•NPR Piston rings
•Eagle H-Beam Rods 9.0:1
•No oil squirters
•King main/rod bearings
•ARP main studs, headstuds, rod bolts
•Balance shaft eliminator

•Decked head
•BC 280s
•3G revised lifters
•L19 headstuds
•Kiggly Racing street Beehive springs/retainers
•JMF street Intake Manifold
•dsmlink v3

FYI the picture included is the old 7 bolt..:notgood: Still need a few things, but that's the majority of it so far. I plan on keeping power steering and AC as well. Thanks in advance !

you can delete the egr solenoid but youll probably get a check engine light if you just simply remove it.
So either tuck it away somewhere by the A/C or get ecmlink to hide the check engine light

You can also delete the fpr solenoid by running that vaccume line from the intake to the fpr.

If you get high impendence injectors than you can make a delete plug for the resistor pack on the fire wall and remove it.

You can even move the grounds abit lower on the firewall

If you have cruise control than get a non cruise cable and delete that also .

Theres a few small things on the firewall that can most likly be moved lower so there out of sight

Forgot to mention I have the ecmlink. Added it to the first post.. but removing the CEL shouldn't be an issue. Cruise control is already gone also. So it seems it's just a matter of placing things in the best possible area huh aside from egr and fpr solenoid delete

...just because you have Link and can get rid of the FPS/EGR CEL doesn't mean you can pass CA SMOG, you'll fail the visual. If you're trying to clean up the firewall and still pass SMOG then I'd relocate the emissions solenoids on the firewall rather then just delete them.

EDIT
Actually, nevermind. You're installing a 6-bolt so you couldn't pass SMOG anyway if they send you to the REF. Delete all the emissions.
