what boost should i run

i have a fwd laser. the engine is stock but rebuilt. i have bc 272 cams, evo 3 16g, 550cc injectors, 255 walbro, fmic, 3" turbo back exhuast, evo springs and retainers. i was wondering if any one has a similar set up and if so how much boost should i run to get the best power. right now im running stock boost to break the engine in.

Best power how is it tuned got a wideband, perhaps 14psi, maybe more, get a tuning device to help out.

right now i dont have anything to tune it. i plan on getting link and a wideband within a few months

Well thats no bueno! Do you have 450s to throw in till your able to tune? You shouldnt put bigger injectors in if your not able to tune let alone watch your A/F.

right now i have the 450s in. i didnt put the 550s in yet. yea ill just wait to put them in when i get dsmlink and a wideband then.

Don't turn it up untilled you have a tuning device or supporting mods.

Ok good. Im in the same boat you are then. I have a set of 550s and 880s just sitting . As a reference, Im running a bastard 20g on a 255 pump at 14 psi. Thats really pushing it. My wideband shows 10-1 A/F but my plugs say otherwise because im over running the injector. 12psi Seems to be my safe zone. Id wanna say 13-14 should be your max. Go no higher. If you wanna be safe the 12 psi should be fine for the 16g.

i have all the supporting mods i will need. im planning on getting link by summer time. so ill just keep the 450s in and keep the boost stock until then.

@hardcorandy do you go to the oaks meet? becuase i think you were there last time i was. were you the one who was gonna get the car painted and just got the 20g?

Thats me!. 20g is in only because the 14b finally went. Car was painted april 2nd. Few pics in the gallery. If you need a hand with anything im always willing to help a fellower Dsmer.
