What are 2Gs worth?

After daily driving in the snow with my FWD sebring, Im missing my DSM for being able to drive it anywere any time..


Even with BFG(KD dry tires) if you were out of boost you would hook up perfectly fine and go through whatever



So im thinking about picking up a clean 2G GSX, but im either seeing them for really cheap or very expensive


What am I looking to pay for one?

At first I thought you said you were using your e-brake on an awd (saw the car in your profile). Had to re-read just to make sure I was wrong. Just the thought of trying to lock up your rearend on a gsx made me shudder.

And ive lived in IL my whole life, and Daily drove a 94 LT1 trans am,2000 LS1 camaro, my sebring, and my talon in the snow..

Yes alot of snow in both the fbodies, and they didnt bother me at all...I just do not like this car in snow with allseason performance tires..Its crap plain and simple.

I miss awd plowing through alot of stuff, also hate FWD period

Yea thats true what I have found best to do is just go to autotrader.com and just search for the lower priced cars and the higher priced cars. Its pretty easy to tell the cars that people have owned becasue its a DSM and a hobby or just a car that they used to get to point A to point B and havent really kept up in the mean time. I realized that KBB.com is very inaqurite when it comes to DSM's and changes constantly month to month.

You have already been linked to a couple resources for finding the value of a DSM. We could tell you what we pay for them, but that will vary by age, region, season, condition, seller, &c...

The few decent condition 2g AWD DSM's I have seen around here for sale in the last few years were selling for $7-$11,000. I would expect them to be cheaper in an area where they are not as rare. This would be a good time to find them for cheap in the snow states, though, as there is not a high demand for sport coupes at the onset of winter weather.

As with everything bought and sold, the "worth" was the amount exchanged between the parties. You'll know afterward.

Guessing at it is just bench-racing wallets.
